Coilcraft, Inc., founded in 1945, is an established worldwide organization specializing in the manufacturing of magnetic components including high performance RF chip inductors, power magnetics and filters serving a wide range of industries including telecommunications, computers, automotive, broadband, consumer electronics and critical products.

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our Business Development Team in Europe. This position reports directly to executive management at Global Headquarters in Cary, Illinois, and has a close working relationship with the European Head Office in Scotland.

Job Responsibilities

  • Business development primarily for areas of and business segments in Germany; and to cover other countries / customers as required in Europe.
  • Develop relationships at all levels within organisations to identify and promote additional business opportunities.
  • Promote our products and services and work with a range of customer profiles from OEMs to Design Houses to identify technical and design challenges, recommend appropriate solutions and secure design-ins.
  • Create and develop an evolving tiered structure of customers.
  • Provide accurate market intelligence through interactions with current and potential users.
  • Work cohesively with the BDE team in Europe.
  • Participate in exhibitions, technical seminars etc.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Electronics, Telecoms, Physics or similar relevant discipline.
  • Fluent in English written and spoken, effective in a business environment.
  • 5 years+ sales and/or FAE experience in the electronics field, preferably in the components marketplace. Experience in the automotive and critical products arena would be an advantage.
  • Self-motivated and managed.
  • Experience dealing with a range of customers from OEMs to Design Houses.
  • Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), negotiation and telephone skills.
  • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to deal professionally and positively with people at all levels.
  • Ability to be part of a multi-cultural team and global structure.
  • This is a Home Office Position.
  • Preferred locations: Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, and must be able to travel regularly.
